Winter weddings are some of my favorite. The snow, candlelight and early sunset make them cozy. When it is cold outside, reception spaces feel extra warm and intimate. I recently was interviewed by The Women Today Magazine about winter weddings (check it out here – page 28!). Doing that interview reminded me of all the reasons why winter here in Duluth is extra special. A week after the interview, Angela and David got married at Clyde Iron works.
These two embraced a Duluth winter wedding in an unparalleled way. Flannel, faux fur, evergreen trees, candlelight (so many GORGEOUS candles), tons of outdoor photographs, snow and even a chandelier hung from a tree! We were all so relieved that we got a good dose of snow the week before the wedding (David had fake snow on standby and I had already spoken with a local ski hill to ensure we could get snowy photographs). Whitney Beth Photography didn’t disappoint with incredible photographs – inside and out!
The ceremony and reception were made complete with tons of soft candlelight and gold accents. You do not need to take my word for it – look at these stunning images.
Start to finish, this was a perfect Duluth winter wedding. Congratulations to David & Angela!
